Australia\u2019s Department of Health, Disability and Ageing released a new dashboard on 10 October showing the amount of care delivered in residential aged care homes. The tool can help families and other users better understand how much time staff devote to caring for older residents.<\/p>\n\n

The tool titled Care Minutes in Residential Aged Care Dashboard<\/strong> provides an overview of \u201ccare minutes\u201d in residential aged care homes. Care minutes refer to the time care staff spend providing direct services to residents.<\/p>\n\n

The dashboard may be useful for families assessing aged care services, presenting information about the amount of care delivered in a format users can examine.<\/p>\n\n

No deadline or mandatory action for families has been announced in connection with the dashboard\u2019s release. People considering residential aged care options can use the information alongside other official resources to compare and assess services.<\/p>\n\n
