The Bureau of Meteorology (BOM) forecasts mostly sunny to partly cloudy conditions in Canberra on Sunday. A maximum temperature of around 25°C is expected. Based on the forecast available as at 5 pm on Saturday, no weather warning is currently in place for the Australian Capital Territory (ACT).
Sunday’s fire danger rating is forecast to be “Moderate”, while the solar ultraviolet, or UV index is expected to reach 8 on the scale, classified as “Very High” by the Bureau of Meteorology.
The UV index measures the intensity of the sun’s ultraviolet radiation. A high reading means people spending extended periods outdoors should take particular care to protect their skin and eyes from the sun.
Canberra residents, especially families planning to spend Sunday outdoors, are advised to check the latest weather forecast and UV index before heading out, as conditions and warnings may change.
